The hotel is very well located beside the central station, and close to bus and tram stops. My room was comfortable and clean, and the shower has great water pressure - always something I appreciate. The breakfast buffet is amazing - there is almost too much choice! The outside of the building is very impressive and the bar on the terrace very pleasant.

the breakfast was nice, the european options were vast, the hot options were ok and included boiled eggs, fried eggs, chicken sausages (not a fan), beans and scrambled eggs and toast. On some days, they would make fresh omelettes to order but would have liked more UK style options. The breakfast was spread over a large area which was a bit confusing eg the butter was not next to the toasting machine, not all the tea stations had milk or spoons. The location of the hotel was great, central and easy access to trams, trains and local amenities.

The hotel is amazing! The rooms are spacious and are decorated with taste. The bed and the bedding are very comfortable! All equipment is available in the room (hair dryer, all soaps including a separate conditioner and not a 2 in 1 shampoo, iron and ironing board, safe, etc). I went for work and needed good wifi. I was not disappointed. The location is perfect, right next to the train station (but we cannot hear any noise from the inside of the hotel) and a 5-10 min walk from the centre. I think the strongest point of this hotel is the food. It was AMAZING! The breakfast is so big that everyone could find something they like. They also have a lot of (very good) gluten-free options. Finally, the staff is super friendly and always very helpful.

We booked this hotel as a treat for our honeymoon, and when I first booked it and started to read some of the reviews I was a little bit worried. However, despite other persons dislikes - this hotel went above our expectations. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, they could not do more to be accommodating a truly either at the front desk, or at the breakfast service. Our room was in the new part of the hotel, the decoration was stunning it really felt high class and as much as others complain about how dark the room was, it was absolutely perfect for Swedish summer and helped create a nice sleeping atmosphere after a long day. The breakfast… SO GOOD! The selection was brilliant, even lots of choices for vegans/vegetarians from porridge to boll. During breakfast plates were cleared quickly, staff were more than happy to help you if you had an issue and food was noticeably being changed for freshness. Whilst we were there we also did the rooftop pool and the spa. Our spa and pool visit was very relaxing and the facilities were clean and refreshing. Only thing to note would be that the “treat” kitchen does advertise as having fika and smoothies - but when you get in this is an extra cost. The hotel bars were lovely it was especially nice that they could make mocktails if you asked them and they were the bartenders choice. The hotel also went out of its way to give us a little goody bag with water and treats and a lovely card wishing us a nice time on our honeymoon. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Best location for walking, for trams, for restaurants, for train station, for shopping, and a way to go to all the museums and wonderful sites in Gothenburg. The staff was very helpful and kind. Easy booking, arriving and leaving. A room had a city view With great windows, very comfortable beds, lots of room to move around with seating and a desk and the shower was a real treat. Breakfast also was delicious and easy. So many choices of things to eat for breakfast. The bath robes were cozy and warm.

I have stayed this property many times,and will return again. If traveling by train the location is unbeatable. It is also within walking distance to the city center shopping and restaurant district, and outside the hotel you can take the charming trams to practically anywhere in the city. I also like the beds, and the rooms in the old part of the hotel. Service was impeccable, and special thanks to Mattias who helped make our stay enjoyable.

Beautiful hotel right next to Central Station, gorgeous old post office building. Staff were absolutely lovely (as are most people in Sweden!), lovely decor and furniture/art. Room was small but comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast was extensive and good.
